Whole-System Planetary Governance
A whole-system planetary governance consultancy at the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern governance.
Who We Are
We are a whole-system planetary governance consultancy that transforms decision-making by learning from living systems. Nature has evolved ecosystems that thrive through collaboration, regeneration, and care for future generations.
We help governments and institutions apply these same principles to human decision-making — moving from ownership to stewardship, from divisive to distributive, from degenerative to regenerative.
We think in centuries and generations, not quarters — designing systems that honour the sacred commons we all depend on.
Our Ethos
Our Vision
We envision a flourishing planet where human institutions mirror the intelligence of nature — regenerative, distributive, and alive with possibility. Institutions that honour the intrinsic worth of all species and make decisions worthy of our grandchildren's grandchildren.
Our Mission
We help leaders become good ancestors — advancing nature positivity through whole-system transformation. We work with governments and institutions to redesign governance frameworks so that all living systems can thrive for generations to come.
Our Core Values
Our Ikigai — Reason for Being
We operate from ikigai — where passion, mission, vocation and profession converge into a single coherent calling. This is the need of our time: whole-system transformation for a flourishing planet where every living being has a voice and a future.
Our Approach
"Working at the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern governance, we help leaders become good ancestors — making decisions that ensure all living systems can thrive for generations to come."
We move beyond human-centred thinking. This is not sustainability — it is regeneration. Not reform — it is transformation. We design for whole-system flourishing, guided by principles that have sustained life on Earth for billions of years.
What We Do
We help governments redesign constitutions, policies, and decision-making frameworks that account for the rights of nature, future generations, and the living commons.
We apply ecological principles to institutional design — creating organisations and policies that regenerate rather than deplete the systems they depend on.
We work with leaders to shift their temporal frame — from quarterly thinking to generational stewardship — developing the wisdom to act as good ancestors.
Beyond incremental change, we engage the deep leverage points in systems — culture, paradigm, and purpose — to catalyse transformations that last.
Ready to become a good ancestor? Let's build governance worthy of our grandchildren.
Meet the Co-StewardsThe People Behind the Work
A small, purpose-led team of practitioners, thinkers, and bridge-builders committed to whole-system transformation for a flourishing planet.
Who Stewards the Stewards?
At ecocentric.earth we hold no titles of ownership — only responsibility. Each of us brings a distinct lens and lineage to the work, united by a shared commitment to advancing nature positivity and helping human institutions become worthy of the living world they are embedded in.
We are practitioners first. Our work is grounded in decades of lived experience across governance, ecology, indigenous knowledge systems, finance, technology, and the arts of facilitation and collective sense-making.
The Co-Stewards
Co-Steward · Systems Thinker
Sanjay brings over three decades of experience at the intersection of business, governance, and ecological thinking. His work draws on deep roots in Eastern philosophy and the systems science of complexity, helping institutions see themselves as living organisms within larger living systems. He has advised governments, multinationals, and civil society organisations across Asia, Africa, and Europe on long-horizon strategy and regenerative governance design.
Co-Steward · Transformation Catalyst
Ilona is a strategic facilitator and transformation architect with a gift for holding complexity and guiding institutional change. Trained in dialogue processes, futures thinking, and integral methodologies, she works with leaders ready to move beyond incremental reform toward genuine systemic change. Her approach weaves together rigour and empathy — creating the conditions for organisations to discover what wants to emerge.
Co-Steward · Regenerative Practitioner
Rowan is a regenerative practitioner and ecological designer whose work bridges land, community, and institution. With a background spanning permaculture, indigenous land stewardship, and digital commons, he brings a grounded, place-based perspective to the work of planetary governance. Rowan believes that the path to systemic change begins with restoring our relationship with living land — and that every institution is, at its root, an ecology.
How We Work Together
We operate as a co-stewardship — a non-hierarchical collective of practice. Decisions are made through distributed dialogue, not top-down authority. Our processes mirror the principles we advocate: collaborative, generative, and oriented toward long-term flourishing.
Our work is rooted in authentic relationship — with each other, with clients, and with the living world. We bring our full selves, including uncertainty and not-knowing.
Every engagement starts with understanding the whole system — its history, ecology, culture, and power dynamics — before we consider any intervention.
We measure success not by immediate outputs, but by the conditions we leave behind — a richer commons, more capable institutions, and deeper reciprocity with the living world.
We partner selectively with governments, institutions, and organisations ready for genuine whole-system transformation.
